Which divisions are offered for each age level?
Little League determines a players age by the age he or she will be on or before August 31st. This is their "League Age".

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW FOR TEE BALL or COACH PITCH?

Little League Tee-Ball and Coach Pitch levels are immensely rewarding. For many kids, it's their first experience with organized sports and this is our opportunity to imprint a positive association with baseball that will last the rest of their lives!

Below is information that hopefully answers any questions you have about the upcoming season. If you have additional questions you'd like to ask, feel free to reach out to our Farm League Coordinator Matt Tappen at [email protected].

Basics
Your child will be assigned to a team with a coach and an assistant coach. However, Little League works best at these levels when parents and guardians are involved. Volunteering isn’t required, but you are encouraged to tell the coach how you’d like to help – from assisting on the field or with hitting, to lining the kids up in the dugout, to organizing after-game snacks. North Park Little League is an all-volunteer organization and the more you are involved, the more you and your child will get out of it. Be sure to fill out the volunteer paperwork so you are able to participate on the field.

Schedules & Time Commitment
Assume 2 events per week for this season. You'll have a weeknight practice and a game on Saturday morning. Practices and games each last about 45 minutes. Every coach is volunteering their time, and to honor that we let the coaches set the practice day and time. Everything will be at Morley Field, Golden Hill Rec., or Garfield Elementary.

  • What Do You Need?
A positive attitude and a willingness to help. This league only works if we all put in some effort.
  •

But you probably thought this section was about equipment. Here's that info...
A glove

A bat and a helmet. The league provides each team a couple bats and helmets. If you have your own or want to buy your own, feel free...but don't feel like you need to.

Cleats (definitely not required and I think they're unnecessary at this level, but they can be nice to have)

Uniforms
NPLL provides hats and jerseys for all players. Nothing else is required for playing. But, if you're feeling motivated, most kids will have baseball pants, belts and socks that match their team colors. They're easy to find on Amazon. Budget about $40 if you feel like decking out your kid. Color schemes will be figured out once the rosters are set.

Games
Games are about fun and we don't keep score. Heck, we don't even count outs. We play 3 innings and every player bats each inning. We'll have a portable speaker at each field so that teams can play walkup music for their players if they want. In many cases, postgame snacks are the most important part of the game experience for the players. And that's okay. The goal is fun!!

WE NEED COACHES!!!
We need coaches! Please think of volunteering. You don't need any experience in order to step into a coaching role. The time commitment is pretty low at this level and we have excellent manuals that guide you through the whole process. Additionally, we'll be here to answer any questions along the way.

NEXT EVENT:  CAP DAY- February 8th at 10 am. Team Announcements, Meet your coaches, and get your season Cap.
