The heart of NPLL is our concession stand, which is known as the “Snack Shack.” Sales earned by the Snack Shack are an important and essential source of revenue for our league and are used to help shoulder the numerous expenses associated with programs such as ours. From field renovations to uniforms, all proceeds go toward ensuring your children have the best possible experience in our league. These funds help guarantee North Park Little League will play a great role in your community today and years to come. To make the Snack Shack a success, we are dependent on families within our league to help run the operation. Our goal is to have enough coverage so the Snack Shack remains open for business for the majority of scheduled games.
FAQ
How can I help?
Sign up to work at the Snack Shack! Our Sign Up Link will be live soon. Our shifts are typically 2 hours and your duties may include working the cash register Ipad, serving snacks & slushies, making hot food or helping with dishes, sweeping and restocking. There will be a Snack Shack team member there to show you what to do and assist with any questions or help you may need. It's a fun and easy way to give back to your baseball community.
For those of you who are willing and able, we are happy to have you volunteer more! You do not have to work during your child's baseball game. Sign up for any available shift! Snack Shack food and drinks are available free to our volunteers during their working shift.
Can I bring my kid(s) to help at the Snack Shack during my shift?
Yes please! The Snack Shack is a wonderful opportunity for our youth to feel empowered with responsibility, learn leadership skills, and foster a love for their NP community through volunteer work. We encourage our little leaguers to tag along during their parent or guardian's Snack Shack work shift.
We recommend children being at least 8 years old with a parent volunteer. 11+ years old may sign up to volunteer without a parent/guardian.
All minors participating in the snack shack MUST have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian this season. Click here to access our 2025 online waiver. You only need to sign once for any junior volunteer positions for the spring season.
All cash tips are divided equally amongst the junior volunteers working that shift.
Will someone be there to help during my Snack Shack shift?
A member of our Snack Shack management team will help manage the Snack Shack alongside the parent and junior volunteers, especially during opening and closing hours. The shack is also equipped with various instructional signs throughout to help guide volunteers on how to run the operation.
For 2025, our Snack Shack Management team includes the following North Park parents:
- Julie Chavarria
- Heather McLean
- Laura McLean
- Cambria Berger
